Hi, I’m Melek BATITURK. I work in HR leadership, organizational development and digital transformation. My mission: transition traditional HR organizations into next-generation, data-driven and digital structures that support business sustainability and financial goals.

I bring retail and process know-how into projects that improve organizational productivity, employee engagement and leadership development. I design and execute competitive approaches to bridge the digital leadership gap and build momentum in the retail industry.

I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Resources Management at Bahçeşehir University. I hold three certifications in Personnel Matters, Data Analysis and Communication Skills. Fluent in Turkish and English at a professional level, with basic French.

Designed and rolled out the performance management system; BSC and KPI architecture; competency model; succession planning; organizational restructuring and change management; employer branding strategy and internal communication campaigns; HR digital transformation initiatives.

Kolay İK — Account Manager

Initiated and implemented the digital transformation roadmap for the retail industry. Managed a team of two specialists, the department budget and a sales budget of 2M TL. Reported directly to the General Manager and the board.

Watsons Turkey — Payroll Unit Manager

September 2020 – October 2021

Managed payroll processes with a team of three specialists, redesigned the end-to-end process architecture, led payroll automation and digitization; prepared development plans for store leaders and regional managers.

Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group — Payroll & Personnel Matters Responsible

March 2019 – September 2020 · Istanbul

Managed payroll and benefits, supported HRBP processes, redesigned subcontractor processes for blue- and white-collar workers, reported incentive and additional payment processes during the pandemic.

Decathlon Türkiye — Payroll & Personnel Matters Specialist

Integrated core HR processes with the Kolay İK ERP system, built market-competitive salary structures, ran annual market analysis and salary planning, administered benefit programs, expat management and work permits for Turkish/French employees.
